THE DISSOLUTION.

To the Editor of the Olooe. SlB, —I observe that there is to be a meeting of the electors at the Oddfellows’ Hall, this evening, to meet the members. There h one thing the working-men should agitate for, viz., the Saturday half-ho' : day, which would be a greater boon to them than to hare museums and libraries, &0., open on Sunday, for then they could devote the Sunday to its proper object. The working-men may depend upon it, that those members who advocate opening such places on Sunday, would make them work seven days in the week for six days’ pay. Let them read the Prime Minister of England’s speech in the House of Lords, as well as the A -chbishop of Canterbury’s in the “ Homo News ” of the 22ad May last, when a majority voted to keep them closed on that day. Yours, &0,, OBSERVES. Christchurch, August 14th, 1879.
