Mails Gloss at the Chief Post Offloe tor the fallowing plaoos (subject to necessary alterations) as under :~ WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 13. Eor Australian Colonies, per express train to Port Chalmers (to connect with s.s. Bingarooma), at 7.30 a.m. For Kaikonra, per Huia, at 4.45 p.m. The late letter box, guard's van, must not be used for this mail. THUESDAT, AUGUST 14. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, Now South Wales, and Queensland, per Tararua, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m. j guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. SATUEDAY, AUGUST 16. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Eotorua. Mails per Hawea will close as follows: For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, China, Japan, &c, via San Francisco, Sandwich Islands, Northern ports of New Zealand. Ordinary letters, at 1 p.m. Late feo lotters, at 1.45 p.m. Books and newspapers, at 12 noon, Eegistered letters, at 12 noon. Money orders at 11 a.m. Guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on September 30th. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only) will be closed at Christchurch on August 25th.
