Malls close at the Chief Post Offloa for the following places (subject to necessary alterations) as under i SATUBDA?, AUGUST 9. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 7 p.m. For Northern Ports, per Bingarooma, at 8 p.m. For Timaru and Otago, per Maori, at 7.30 p.m. The late letter box, guard's van, must not be used for this mail. MONDAY, AUGUST 11. For Kaikonra. and Northern Ports, per Jane Douglas, at 3 p.m. j late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. TUESDAY, AUGUST 12. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Ein~arooma, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's Tan, 2.d3 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 13. For Australian Colonies, per express train to Port Chalmers (to connect with s.b. Eingarooma), at 7.30 a.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be olosed at Christchnrch on Saturday, August 16th, and will be duo in London on September 30th. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of theseroutes only) will be closed at Christchnrch on August 25th.
