Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the f rUowlagf plaeea (subject to necessary alterations) os under i THURSDAY, AUGUST 7. For Chatham Islands, per Island Lily, at 11 a.m. SATURDAY, AUGUST 9. For Akaroa and Otago, per Hawea, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.25 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 p m. train. For Northern Ports, per Wanakn, at 7 p.m. The late letter box, guard’s van, must not he used for this mail. TUESDAY, AUGUST 12. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Ringarooma. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on August 15th, and will be duo in London on September 30th. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only) will be closed at Christchurch on August 25th.
