MAGISTRATES’ COURTS.
CHRISTCHURCH. Satuedav, August 2. [Before G. U. Melli.h, Esq., Drunk and Disoedeely.—One drunkard was lined 10s. Maintenance. —Jare Price applied for an order to protect her property and earnings against her husband, George Wm. Price, on tho ground of habitual drunkenness and neglect. Tho complainant had five children, and she prayed that the defendant might be compelled to contribute towards their proper support. As tho. defendant had bieu frequently before the Court on the same complaint, the Bench regarded him os incorrigible and sent him to gaol for ona month with hard labor. An order was Jalso made for the protection of complainant’s earnings for tho future.
