Malls close at the Chief Post Offln* for the following plaeea (subject to necossary alterations) as under \— SATURDAY, AUGUST 2. For Otago, per Wanaka, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.25 a.m. : guard’s van, 12.10 p.m, train. For Northern Ports, per Ladybird, at 7 p.m. The late letter box, guard’s van, must not he used for this mail. Tor Nelson and Westport, per Wanganui, at 1.5# p.m.j late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.13 p.m. train. MONDAY, AUGUST 4. For Northern Por.s of New Zoa'and, Now South Wales, and Queensland, per Wakatipu. TUESDAY, AUGUST 5. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2 40 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will he closed at Christchurch on August 15th, and will be due in London on September 30th. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only) will he closed at Christchurch on August 25th.
