POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Moils close at the Chief Post Office fee the following plaoos (subject to necessary alterations) as under i THURSDAY, JULY 31. For Northern Ports, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m,; late foe letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. The next mail for tho United Kingdom via San Francisco will bo closed at Christchurch on August 15th, and will bo due in London on September 30th. NOTE. —As the train which leaves Sheffield for Christchurch on Wednesday and Saturday, at 12.45 p.m., will he discontinued at the end of July, the West Coast mails will, after the Ist proximo, leavo Sheffield each Wednesday and Saturday, at 5.5 p.m., and arrive in Christchurch at 7.45 p.m. The name of tho Post-oftico at Kowai Pass has been changed to Springfield. uruNBTJ.DICK, Chief Postmaster.
