SITTINGS IN CHAMBERS. Tuesday, July 29. His Honor sat in the Court Chambers at 11 a.m. . EE THOMAS ROBERTS. Mr Slater applied for an order directing payment of coats out of the estate. His Honor made the order. RE WILLIAM SLOAN. Mr Slater applied for rule nisi, calling upon R. H. Hanna to show cause why he should not pay over certain monies in his hands ns trustee of the estate. ~ , . His Honor made an order granting the rule nisi, returnable on August Ist. BE BARNARD SIMPSON. Mr Garrick applied for an order confirming the resolution of creditors herein. His Honor made the order. BE DEED OP OEOKGE HUTCHINSON. Mr Garrick appeared to show cause herein why the deed of arrangement should be set aside, and the debtor adjudicated a bankrupt. Dr. Foster appeared for the trustees under the deed. After argument the ease stood over. BE W. MATTHEWS. Mr Garrick, on the part of the Bank of New South Wales, applied herein to make the rule nisi absolute calling upon the debtor to show cause why he should not be adjudged bankMr Izard appeared for the bankrupt, and stated that affidavits had been filed denying the allegation that he was keeping out of the way to avoid service of the writ. His Honor pointed ont that this was only one of the acts of bankruptcy. There was also an allegation as to executions having issued. Mr Izard said there was no affidavit as to this. His Honor said, in that case, the rule must be made absolute. _ Bale for adjudication made absolute, first meeting of creditors to be held on sth August. DISCHARGES. His Honor made orders of discharges in the following cases :—Ho A. F. Do Vcaux (Mr Douglas), H. A. Ladbrook (Mr Slater). In the case of T. W. Sheatl, Mr Wynn Williams applied for the discharge of the debtor. It appeared that the discharge of the debtor had been suspended by the creditors for twelve months. Subsequently, a meeting was held of the creditors, after which the trustee reported that the bankrupt had given up all property and had complied with the Act. His Honor thought perhaps it would be beat to allow the matter to stand over till Friday, in order that notice might be taken of the matter by the creditors, so that they could come in if they liked to oppose it. STUDHOLME V RHODES AND OTHERS. Mr Garrick applied herein for an order amending the original order of taxation. Mr Slater, for Robert Heaton Rhodes, ns executor, and Mr Hobden, for Robert Heaton Rhodes, appeared to consent. Order as prayed.
