Kalla oloss at the Chief Poßt Offln- for the f dlowing places (subject to necessary alterations) as under TUESDAY, JULY 29. Mails per Arawata will he closed as under: — For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only), India, South Africa, Egypt, Australian colonies, Otago, Ac. Ordinary letters, at 1 p.m. Late fee letters, at 1.45 p.m. Boohs and newspapers, at 12 noon. Registered letters, at 12 noon. Money orders, at 11.30 a.m. Guard's van, 2 40 p.m. train, WEDNESDAY, JULY 30. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Enrope, (via Brindisi and Southampton, for correspondence addressed by either of the routes only), Australian Colonies, &c.. per express train to Bluff, to connect with s.s, Arawata, at 7.30 a.m. The mail via Brindisi will he due in London on September 22nd, and the mail via Southampton on September 29th. _ The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will bo closed at Chnstchnrch on August 15th, and will be dne in London on September 30th,
NOTE.—As the train which leaves Sheffield for Christchurch on Wednesday and Saturday, at 12.45 p m will be discontinued at the end of July, tlie West Coast mails will, after tho Ist proximo, leave Sheffield each Wednesday and Saturday, at 5.5 p.m., and arrive in Christchurch at 7.45 p*ni. _ The name of the Post-office at J£owai Pass has been changed to Springfield.
