M&ilfl close at the Chief Poet Office for the fallowing places as nnder t THURSDAY, JULY 24. For Australian Colonies, per Express train to Port Chalmers (to connect with s.b. Taraxoa), at 7.30 a.m. For Kaikonra and Northern Ports per Hnia, at 4.45 p.m. The late letter box, guard's van, must not be used for this mail. FRIDAY, JULY 25. For Otaro, per Wakatipu, at 3 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), will be closed at Christchurch on July 28th. The mail via Brindisi will be duo in London on September 22nd, and the mail via Southami)ton on September 29th. next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on August 15th, and will be duo in London on September 30th.
NOTE. —As the train which leaves Sheffield for Christchurch on Wednesday and Saturday, at 12.45 p.m., will be discontinued at the end of July, the West Coast mails will, after the Ist proximo, leave Sheffield each Wednesday and Saturday, at 5.5 p.m., and arrive in Christchurch at 7.45 p,m.
