Sir Henry Parke’s resolutions in the Assembly wore carried by 23 to 13. The debate on the Hon. Parkes made a speech of three hours on the constitutional question. Ho urged the Assembly to obliterate an oligarchy who wore virtually conspirators against the Constitution. Mr Fitzpatrick’s reply largely nullified the effect of the Premier’s speech. Mr Docker’s motion for an address to the Secretary of State was adjourned. The now teas have arrived in splendid condition. The bidding at auction was inauimated,and the principal portions wore withdrawn, prices being too low.
