Malls close at the Chief Post Offloa for the f jllowing places as under, subject to the necessary alterations:— THURSDAY. JULY 17. For Northern Ports, of New Zealand, Sydney, and Brisbane, per Eotorna, at 3 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Southern Cross, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. SATURDAY, JULY 19. Mails per Wauaka will bo closed as under : For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America (via San Francisco), China, Japan, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of Now Zealand, &o. ; Ordinary letters, at 1 js.m. Late fee letters, at 1.45 p.m. Books and newspapers, at 12 noon. Registered letters, at 13 noon. Money orders, at 11 a.m. Guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. This mail will bo duo in London on September 2nd. Tho next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), will be closed at Christchurch on Jnly 28th. Tho mail via Brindisi will bo duo in London on September 22ud, and tho mail via Southampton on September 29th, SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
