POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Offloe for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations TUESDAY. JULY 15. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Ringarooixa, at l.fiO p.m.; late fee letters, 2,10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, JULY 16. For Australian Colonies, per Express train to Port Chalmers (to connect with s.s. Ringarooma), at 7.30 a.m. THURSDAY, JULY 17. For Northern Ports, of New Zealand, Sydney, and Brisbane, per Rotorua, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 a.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will bo closed at Christchurch on Saturday, July 19th, and will be due in London on September 2nd. The next moils for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), will be closed at Christchurch on July 2fth. The mail via Brindisi will he duo in London on September 22nd, and the mail via Southampton on September 29th. SYDNEY J. DICK. Chief Postmaster.
