POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office ter the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations MONDAY, JULY 7. For Kaikoura and Northern ports, per Jane Douglas, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train, TUESDAY, JULY 8. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Eingorooma. WEDNESDAY. JULY 9. For Australian Colonies, per express train to Fort Chalmers (to connect with s.s. Eingarooma), at 7.30 a.m. THUESDAY, JULY 10. For Northern ports, per Albion. The next mall for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will he closed at Christchurch on July 18th, and will bo due in Loudon on September 2nd. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), will bo closed at Christchurch on July 28th, „ , The mail via Brindisi will he duo in London on September 22nd, and the mail via Southampton on September 29th.
