Advertising Space known as the “ WANTED ” Column to advertisers at a low price, it may be made the medium of a class of business at present transacted in more inconvenient ways, and supply a want long felt, People wanting servants, people wanting employment, people who have lost or who have found things, are often deterred from makin_, heir wants known through the columns of the Public Press by tha price charged, wb’ch is considered high when compared with the value of the purpose sought to be achieved. As the Globe is now pre eminently the moat popular evening journal in Canterbury, enjoying, as it does, a large circulation amongst the class by whom such a concession would be regarded as a boon, it has been thought desirable that it should be made the medium at once. After this date, therefore, advertisements in the “Wanted” Column of the Globe, when they do not exceed Twenty-Foub Wobds, will be inserted for ONE SHILLING BACH INSERTION, conditionally upon payment accompanying the Manuscript. As the Globe now possesses a legitimate circulation of considerably over 30,000 And its circulation, more especially in the Country districts, is increasing at an exceedingly rapid rate, it will be seen that no other means of conveying information to the Public, affords the same advantages to advertisers.
