Two barques from the southward, and a brigantine from the North were signalled when our messenger left Port to-day. The barque Chile, Captain Culbert, was signalled aa making for tho port when our despatch left. The Chile was outside yesterday, and was supposed to have made to the southward towards Timarn, whence she put to sea during the late gale. The southerly wind springing up has, no doubt, caused Captain Culbert to run in here. The ketch Alpha, a telegram about which was sent from Timarn here yesterday, has arrived in .Port. She anchored during the gale, and until the sea subsided, off Pigeon Bay for shelter, having previously, in her run from Timarn, lost her bowsprit, foretopmast, boom, and part of bulwarks. Captain Tyson purposes having her repaired here before returning to Timarn. SHIPPING TJSLEGEAMS, Wellington, June 27.
