[rbuter’s TELEGRAMS.] BRISBANE, Juno 27. ” His Honor Charles Lilloy lias been sworn in as Chief Justice. The vacant Puisne Judgeship lias been offered to tho Hon. S. W. Griffiths, Attorney-General. A DESTRUCTIVE CYCLONE. A most destructive cyclone occurred here on Tuesday. A number of houses wore unroofed, and great damage was done to the Botanical Gardens. Heavy floods have occurred on tho Darling Downs. SYDNEY, Juno 26. The s.s. Adola, which fouled her anchor and sank at Newcastle on Tuesday, was successfully floated last night.
