Muiiz close at the Chief Post Office for the oUowing places as under, subject to tho necessary •Iterations : FEIDAY, JUNE 27. For Northern Ports, per Southern Cross, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.25 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Kaikoura and Northern ports, per Huia, at t. 45 p.m. The late letter box, guard's van, must not be used for this mail. SATUEDAY, JUNE 28. For Akaroa and Otago, per Hawea, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.25 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. The next mails for the United Kingdom via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), will be closed at Christchurch on jnly Ist. The mail via Brindisi will be duo iu London on August 25th, and the mail via Southampton on September Ist. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on July 18th, and will be dae in London on September 2nd. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
