In place of the barquentine Swallow. Tho letterfonrie will have quick despatch. The Elizabeth Curie will soil in a few days for Timarn. Mr J. A. Morgan, agent. The barque Rialto was shifted yesterday to the west side of No. 4. Wharf, where she will complete her discharge. It is intended to take a donkey engine on board to expedite the work of landing Southern Cross, in command of Captain Ramsay, late chief officer of the Mary Blair, was signalled yesterday morning, and last evening anchored outside the Heads. She is from •Hobart Town, and sailed from there about the first current. - The s.s. Wangaum, Captain Bayldon, arrived in harbor on Thursday night from Dunedin, via interraediafce ports. She left Dunedin on Tuesday at midnight; arrived at Oamaru daylight Wednesday; left 6 p.nci.; arrived at Tiraaru Roadstead 2.30 a.m. Thursday, strong gale blowing".from S,E„ with heavy sea, unable to take in cargo; left for here at 8 a.m. She sailed last evening for Greyinouth, via "West Coast porta and "Wellington. The schooner Clio, Captain Kirk, was towed out yesterday, and sailed for Waitapn. The U.S.B. Co.’s s.s. Ladybird is duo this morning from the-South, and will leave for Auckland, via Bast Coast ports and Wellington, on arrival at Port of the 1.25 p.na. train, Tho tJ.S.S. Co.’s s.s. Rotorua will leave to-day on arrival at Port of tho 2.49 p.m. train for Port Chalmers, Bluff, Hobart Town, and Melbourne. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Auckland, June 20. trom the South ; Hinemoa. Two passengers, died, one from inflamatioa of tho brain, and the other from heart disease. , The Merchants’ Shipping and Underwriters Association, report under date London, June 17th : Arrived—Hydaspes from Lyttelton and Auazi from Timarn, via Port Chalmers. Dunedin, Jnne 20. Messrs Caygill, Gibbs and Co. have received a telegram from London announcing the arrival there on. the 17th inst. of the ship Dunedin, after a smart passage of seventy-six days.
