CANTERBURY COURSING CLUB.
Tht second meeting of the season was to have to have taken place to-day in the Parks, the dogs to be in the slips at 9 a.m., and the two events to be run off being the Christchurch Stakes and the Maiden Puppy Stokes. In consequence, however, of the inclemency of the weather, it was decided to postpone the affair until to-morrow. Up to eleven hopes were entertained that the weather would clear up, but as the rain kept coming down in a steady shower, an impromptu meeting of the stewards and committee was held at the Shades, when it was at once dec'ded that the weather was too bad to carryout the programme.
