Mails close at the Chief Post Offloe for the (allowing places aa under, subject to tho necessary nUer&tiong : FRIDAY, JUNE 13. For Northern Ports, per Oreti, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m. ; guard’s van, 2 40 p.m, train, SATURDAY, JUNE 14. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Hawea, at 6.30 p.m. For Akaroa and Otago, per Ladybird, at 8 p.m. The late letter box, guard’s van, must not he used for the mails per Hawoa and Ladybird. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchnrch on Juno 20th, and will bo duo in London on August sth. Tho next mails for the United Kingdom via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), will he closed at Christchnrch on Jnno 30th. Tho mail via Brindisi will bo duo in London on August 25th, and the mail via Southampton on September Ist. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
