STREET OBSTRUCTIONS.

To the Editor of the Globe. Sih, —Allow me through the medium of your valuable paper to call attention to a most objectionable obstruction which at present exists at the junction of Peterborough and Victoria streets, in the shape of a verandah post which has just beeu erected. I think when a verandah is built at the junction of two streets the posts are generally arranged so as not to interfere with pedestrian traffic; but in this case one is placed right in the centre of the pathway. If the said post is allowed to remain in that position it will prove a great nuisance to anyone who may have business that way at night time, for, on stepping off the road on the footpath, they will be very liable to come in contact with it. I am, &c., PEDESTRIAN. June 9tb, 1879.
