LICENSING COURT.

SKCON D EDITION

Tho annual meeting of tho Licensing Bench was held at the Resident Magistrate’s Court to-day at noon. The following Commissioners were present.—G, L Mellish, Esq., E.M. (chairman), E. J. S. Harman, H, J. Tancred, and G. L. Leo, Esq. Inspector Hickson appeared for the police and Mr Thomas for the Licensed Victuallers’ Association.

A new license was granted to J. E. Coker, but all other applications were refused, although strong pleas were put in for two hotels to bo started in Sydenham.

A number of renewals of licenses were granted.
