POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to; the necessary alterations TUESDAY JUNK 3. For Northern Ports, per Southern Cross, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.25 a.m. ; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. Mails per Arawata will close as under:— For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), India, China, Cape of Good Hope, Australian Colonies, Otago, &c,, ordinary letters at 1 p.m.; late fee letters, 1.45 p.m. Registered letters, books and newspapers, at 12 noon. Money orders, at 11 a.m. Guard’s van, 3.40 p.m. train. The mail via Brindisi will be due in London on July 28th, and the mail via Southampton, on August 4th. Supplementary mails for the United Kingdom and Australian Colonies, Ac., to connect with s.s. Arawata at the Bluff) will be closed at Christchurch cn Wednesday, Juno 4, at 7.30 a.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be elpsod at Christchurch on June 20th. and will bo due in London on August sth.
