ABRIVED-May 30, Wanganui, s s„ 179 tons, Bayldon, from Dunedin Via Oaniara. J. M. Hey wood and Co., ageuts. The s.s. Wanganni, Captain Bayldon, arrived in harbor yesterday morning from Dtmedin via Oamarn. She is announced to sail for Wellington and West Coast ports to-morrow afternoon at 3 p,m. . , The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Arawata, Captain McLean, arrived yesterday from Melbourne, via Port Chalmers and Bluff. She cleared Port Philip Heads at 3 p.m. on the 22nd, and had fine weather and southerly winds on the rnn across to the Bluff, in four days and three hours. ±*ort Chalmers was reached at 7 a.m. on the JBth, ana left at 4.30 p.m. same day. The Harbormaster, Captain McLellan, boarded tho Arawata, outside the bny and brought her to the wharf. But fifteen minutes were occupied in clearing the moles and berthing her at the wharf, including turning her bow to seaward at tho transporting buoy, and had not the lino first made fast to the buoy parted, but ten minutes would have elapsed from the time sno passed tho moles to tho moment the landing stage was put out, inoluding turning her as stated. The number of wrecks reported for the present year, to date of April sth, amounted to 545. The tonnage looding on the berth at Loudon, April 10th, for Tndia, China, and Cape of Good Hope, amounted to 47,168 tons, and for Australia ana New Zealand to 55,351 tons. _____
