The following are the remarks made on the subject The demise of that wretched local body, the Arahura Road Board, will be an unmixtd blessing to the ratepayers. The Council, hey-erer, find a little bitters in the cup, as they ‘have to pay about £I3OO on account of debts incurred in a disgraceful manner, by the Eoad Board ring which had the manipulation of the funds for so long a period.
