Malls close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to;tho necessary alterations i SATURDAY, MAT 31. For Akaroa and Otngo, per Wanaka, at 1.50 p.m.; Into fee letters, 2,10 p.m. j guard’s van 2.40 p.m, train. For Northern Ports of Now Zealand, per Ladybird, nt 6.30 p.m. The late letter box, guard’s van, must not bo used for this mail." For Kaikoura and Northern Ports, per Jane Douglas, at 8 p.m. The late letter box, guard’s van, must not bo used for this mail. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), will be closed at Christchurch, on Tuesday, Juno 3rd, at 1 p.m. The mail via Brindisi will bo duo in London on July 28th, and the mail via Southampton, on August 4th. Supplementary mails for the United Kingdom and Australian Colonies, Ac., to connect with s.s. Arawata at the Bluff) will be closed at Christchurch on Wednesday, June 4, at 7.30 a.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on Juno 20th, and will be due in London on August sth.
