Steerago, 6. An excursion to Pigeon Bay and back, on the Queen's tfirthday, will bo made by the s.s. Akaroa, as announced elsewhere. The s.s. Wanaka from Port Chalmers, and Hawea from Auckland and way ports, arrived this morning, The Hawea proceeded South at 1 p.m., and the Wanaka will sail N. rth this afternoon. Tho s.s. Star of the South, from Greymouth and other ports, arrived this morning. She is to sail for Tiinaru and Dunedin to-morrow. The barque Mathieu, Captiin Young, arrived on Saturday a lew honrs after the Especulador, Capt. Powell. Both vessels are from Newcastle with coal, and left there on the same day, April 17th. Eastorly winds to making the coast, and battling light airs and calms since account for tho long passages. In addition to coal the Especulador has a Bmall lot of timber, as per memoranda above.
