The North Otago Club commence their fifth Beahon to-day under favorable ciroumstances. The weather, though cloudy and somewhat threatening, was highly favorable for coursing. Hares were plentiful, and the sport was good, there being an absence of vexatious delays. Luffra and Shylock had a long, hard course, the former having all the best of it at the eom° mencement, after which the dogs got' out of sight. Coronet and Wildrake ran a very eqaal course until the former got unsighted, Wildrake gottirg the hare to himself and killing. Tarn O'Shanter easily defeated Coronet in a short course. Rose had all the best of a long course with Blue Bell. The two sisters, Kathleen and Queen of the Seaa, had a beautiful course, of which the former had tho b.'sl, and won with something to spare. F y aid Minnie ran a close course, the lat'er wiuning. Juliet had the Lest o? a granl course with Oihello, the former doing w>st of the work, Bre^dt l beat Vino in a course of which little could be seen, a' d Malice disposed of Guy iu a good run. Mario Stuart and Catapult ran two undecidod courses, the latter, who hai a torriblo grueller in ono of tnem, eventually winning.
