People wanting servants, people wanting employment, people who have lost or who have found things, are often deterred from making their wants known through the columns of the Public Press by the price charged, which is considered high when compared with the value of the purpose sought to be achieved. As the Globe is now pre-eminently the most popular evening ournal in Canterbury, enjoying, as it does, a large circulation amongst the class by whom such a concession would be regarded as a boon, it has been thought desirable that it should be made the medium at once. After this date, therefore, advertisements in the "Wanted” Column of the Globe, when they do not exceed Twenty-Four Words, will be inserted for ONE SHILLING EACH INSERTION, conditionally upon payment ac» companying the Manuscript.
