SPECIAL TO THE GLOBE. LONDON, May 6. WOOL SALE 3. The Colonial wool sales opened this morning. The total arrivals to date are upwards of 300,000 bales. The attendance of both Home and Foreign buyers was large, and the bidding commenced with much spirit, the prices ranging about the same as for last series. The first day’s catalogue consisted of upwards of 7500 bales. Port Phillip wools preponderate, and for them prices show a small advance. LONDON, May 7. Nine thousand six hundred and ninety, seven bales have been offered. The opening competition is well maintained. With regard to crossbred wool, the prices show a general advance as compared with previous sales of per cent.
