Malls close at the Chief Post Office for the allowing places as under, subject to the necessary alterations WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30. For Australian Colonies, per express train to Port Chalmers, at 7.30 a.m. For Northern Ports, per Arawata, at 1.50 p.m. ; late fee lelters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train.
For Akaroa and Otago, per Wakatipn, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; gunrd’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Kaikonra and Wellington, per Jane Douglas, at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.30p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. For Kaikonra and Wellington, per Tni, at 4.45 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, must not be used for this mail. SATURDAY, MAY 3. For Northern Ports, per Hawea, at 6.30 p.m.; late letter box guard’s van, must not bo used for this mail.
For the United Kingdom, &c., per Stad Haarlem, as follows :
Ordinary letters, at 1 p.m. Late fee letters, nt1.45 p.m. Books and newspapers, at noon. Registered letters, at noon. Money orders, at 12,30 p.m. Guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. TRe next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), will be closed at Christchurch on May sth. The mail via Brindisi will bo due in Loudon on June 30th, and tho mail via Southampton on July 7th. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will bo closed at Christchurch on Friday, May 23rd, and will be due in Loudon on July Bth. SYDNEY J. DICK. Chief Postmaster.
