TWO SCHOONERS WRECKED.

[Press Special Wire.] Blenheim, April 25. The schooner Ruby, from Wellington to Havelock, with a cargo of bricks, was wrecked on Walker’s rocks, off Jackson’s Head, at seven on Wednesday evening. There was no insurance on the vessel or cargo. The crew and passengers were saved. The schooner is owned by Mr Davidson, of Kaikoura. The master (Backstrom) and passengers wore brought on to Picton by the Taiaroa. Otaki April 25. The schooner Colleen Bawn, from Wanganui to Wellington, via Otaki, which called here and loaded with pig iron from the stranded ship City of Auckland, in trying to get out, got on to the spit and is now a total wreck.
