Mails close at the Chief Poet Office foe the following places as under, aubjeot to the neoeesary alterations ■ SATURDAY, APRIL 26. For Australian Colonies, per express train, to Blntt, at 7.30 a.m. „ ~ , „ „ For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, and America, via San Francisco, Sandwich Islands, Northern Porta of New Zealand, &c., per Wanaka, as follows: Ordinary letters, at 1 p.m.; late fee letters, at 1.45 p.m. Books and newspapers, at noon. Registered letters, at noon. Money orders, at 11 a.m. Guard’s van, 2.40 p.m, train. This mail will be due in London on June 10th, The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), will bo closed at Christchurch on May sth. u'te mail via Brindisi will be due in London on June 30th, and the mail via Southampton on July 7th.
