Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations FRIDAY, APRIL 25. For Northern Ports, per Southern Cross, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.30 a.m.; guard’s ran, 12.10 p.m. train. „ , • For Australian Colonies, per Omeo, at 3.15 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train, , _ , For Kaikoura and Wellington, per Jane Douglas, at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m,; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. „„ SATURDAY. APRIL 26. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, and America, via San Francisco, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c., per Wanaka, ns follows Ordinary letters, at 1 p.m.; late fee letters, at 1.45 p.m. Books and newspapers, at noon. Registered letters, at noon. Money orders, at 11 a.m. Guard’s van. 2.10 p.m. train.
