Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations FRIDAY, APRIL 25. For Northern Ports, per Southern Cross, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.30 a.m.; guard’s ran, 12.10 p.m. train. „ , • For Australian Colonies, per Omeo, at 3.15 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train, , _ , For Kaikoura and Wellington, per Jane Douglas, at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m,; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. „„ SATURDAY. APRIL 26. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, and America, via San Francisco, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c., per Wanaka, ns follows Ordinary letters, at 1 p.m.; late fee letters, at 1.45 p.m. Books and newspapers, at noon. Registered letters, at noon. Money orders, at 11 a.m. Guard’s van. 2.10 p.m. train. This mail will be due in Loudon on June 10th, The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), will be closed at Christchurch on May ftth, The mail via Brindisi will be duo in London on June 30th, and the mail via Southampton on July ' ’ ■ SYDNEY J.
