Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary •Iterations:— „ , THURSDAY, APRIL 24. For Wellington, per Southern Cross, at 11.15 a.m.; late letters, 11.30 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Otago, per Rotorua, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.10 p.m. train. For Australian Colonies, per Omeo, nt 3,15 p.m.; Into letters, 3.30 p.m. ; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern ports of New Zealand, New South Wales, and Queensland, at 3.15 p.m.!; late letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train, SATURDAY, APRIL 20. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, and America, via San Francisco, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c., as follows: Ordinary letters, at 1 p.m.; late fee letters, at 1.45 p.m. Books and newspapers, at noon. Registered letters, at noon. Money orders, at 11 a.m. Guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. This mail will he dne in London on June 10th, Tho next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only, will be closed at Christchurch on May sth. The mail via Brindisi will he due in London on June 30th, and tho mail via Southampton on July 7th. SYDNEY J. DICK.
