MAGISTRATES’ COURTS.
LYTTELTON. Wednesday, Aphil 23. [Before T. H. Potts, Esq., J.P., and H. Allwright, Esq., J.P.] Fighting—John Macnamarra was presented for committing a breach of the peace, within view of a constable, by fighting in London street. He was sentenced to pay 20s, or suffer forty-eight hours’ imprisonment.
Lunacy feom Deink.—William Grant was discharged from custody, after being under treatment for this malady for eight days. Lunacy.—William Price, on remand from Christchurch for treat insn; for lunacy from drink, was sent to Sunnysido Asylum, on the medical certificates of Drs, Bouse and Macdonald,
Civil. —Dransfleld and Eoper v E, S. Bullen, claim £3 18s for goods ; judgment by default. Bennett v DeCosta, claim £5 lls 6d; judgment for plaintiff and costs Bs. Forbes ,v Thompson, claim £6 Is 6d j judgment confessed ; defendant ordered to pay 10s per week and costs Bs.
