POST OFFICE NOTICES
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations TUESDAY, APRIL 22. For Anstralian Colonies, per Express train to Port Chalmers, at 7.30 a.m. For Northern Ports, per Southern Cross, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.30 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 D.m, train. THURSDAY, APRIL 24. For Northern Ports, Sydney, and Brisbane, per Tararua. . _ , For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Rotorua. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on April 25th, and will be dne in London on June 10th. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton will be closed at Christchurch on May sth. The mail via Brindisi will be duo in London on Juno 30th, and the mail via Southampton on July 7th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
