POST OFFICE NOTICES
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations:— „„„ THURSDAY, APRIL 17. For Northern Ports, per Wanganui, at 3.15 p.in.; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. SATURDAY, APRIL 19. For Akaroa, per Wauaka. For Northern Ports, per Ladybird, at 6.30 p.m, Late-letter box and guard’s van must not be used for this mail. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will bo closed at Christchurch on April 25th, and will be due in Loudon on Juno 10th. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton will bo closed at Christchurch on May sth.
