CHRISTCHURCH. Tubsday, April 15. [Before his Worship the Mayor.] XTTNACY.—WiIIiam Grant was charged "with lunacy from the consequences of excessive drinking, and was remanded to Lyttelton for medical treatment. Labcbny.—Montague Dodd was charged with stealing £4O, the property of his employers, Messrs Joyce and Williams. On the application of the police a remand was granted till the 22nd inst. LYTTELTON. Tuksday, ArRIL 15. [Before H. Allwright, Esq., J.P.] DSSERTIOK.—D. Barclay, remanded on this charge, was dismissed from custody. Asbisting to Desert.—S. Tredinnick, charged with assisting Barclay to desert, was fined 20s. Drunkenness.—W. Loftus was fined 5s for this offence. Using Propane Language.—T. Lafferty, charged as above, was fined 20i and 2a costs.
