POST OFFICE NOTICES
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the nooessa.r; alterations WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (specially addressed letters only), Australian Colonies, &c., at 7.30 a.ra. (for despatch overland to the Blnif to connect with the s..s. Arawata. ) Letters bearing an extra fee of 2d may be posted in the travelling post-office attached to the express train on the 9th inst, THURSDAY, APRIL 10. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Australian Colonies, per Wakatipn, at 3.15 p.m.; late letters, 3,30 p,m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. SATURDAY, APRIL 12. For Otago, per Ladybird, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.11 b p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, 2.40 p.m, train. For Northern Ports of Now Zealand, per Hawea, at (3.30 p.m.; late letter box, guard’s van, must not be used for this mail.
