POST OFFICE NOTICES
Mails olose at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subjeot to the neoesear> •Iterations : WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (specially addressed letters only), Australian Colonies, &c, at 7.30 a.m. (for despatch overland to the Bluff to connect with the s.s. Arawata. ) Letters bearing an extra fee may be posted in the travelling post-office attached to the express train on the 9th inst. THURSDAY, APRIL 10. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Australian Colonies, per Wakatipu, at 3.15 p.m.; late letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. SATURDAY, APRIL 12. For Otago, per Ladybird. For Northern Ports, per Hawea. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchnrch on April 2.5 th, and will be due in London on June 10th. SYOHEY J.
