B Carruther's Commerce, by Contango—Cameleon, in the deciding course. Of the previous pi rformances of the winner we find that he oocup C'l a very forward position in the Newma ket Champion Puppy Stakes, win nins; fnur courses in good style, and being beaten in an unlucky t'ril j n the fifth round by the Duke of Hamilton's High Real, who divided. The runner-up—Commerce—has also performed well having won three courses at t'ie Border Union Meeting, where she got lame ', and was then put by f >r tbe great event of the year. The position of the favorite Coomassio, was not mentioned
in our telegram.
