Mails olose at the Chief Post Offloe (or the following places as under, aubjoot to the necessary Alterations : MONDAY, MARCH 31. For Akaroa, Otago and Australian Colonies, per Wanaka, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Australian Colonies, per Claud Hamilton, at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; late letter box, gnard's van, 4 p.m. train. The next mails for tho United Kingdom via Brindisi and Southampton will be closed at Christchurch on April 7th. The mail via Brindisi will be due in London on June 2nd, and the mail via Southampton on June 9th. The next mail for the United Kindom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on April 25th, and will be duo in London on Juno 10th. SYDNEY J. DICK. Chief Postmaster.
