[eeuteb’s telegrams,] London, March 24. A severe earthquake in Northern Persia caused great damage. Nearly 1100 persons perished. The Government have accepted the tender of the Eastern Company for the construction of a cable from Aden, via Zanzibar, Mozambique, and Delagoa, to Natal. [SPECIAL TO PRESS AGENCY.] J St. Petersburg, March 24. The Russian Government suggests a mixed occupation of Roumelia after Russia has evacuated that territory.
