Mails olose at the Chief Post Offloe for the following places as under, trabjoot to the neoessaxy alterations : THURSDAY, MARCH 27. For Jacksou's Bay and Martin's Bay, viaDnnedin, per express train, at 7.30 a.m. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, Sydney, and Brisbane, per Rotorua, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters 2.10 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Otago, per Tararua, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters 2.10 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. SATURDAY, MARCH 29th. For Otago and Australian Culonies, per Wanaka. For the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, America, the Continent of Europe, Northern Porta of New Zealand, &c, per Ladybird, at 1 p.m.; late fe<* letters, at 2 p.m.; guard's van, railway station, until 2.-10 p.m. train. Registered letters, books, and newspapers at. noon. Money orders, at 11 a.m. This moil will be due in London on May 13th, The next mails for the United Kingdom via Brindisi aud Southampton will be closed at Christchurch on April 7th. The mail via Brindisi will be due in London on June 2nd, and the mail via Southampton on June 9th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
