It is understood that JK. H. Boere his entered an action against Czerwonka for .£IOOO damages. This case has arisen out of one brought by Czerwonka against Beero for alleged embezzlement.

The " Times" Btates that the Government have been unsuccessful in their endeavors to purchase the Native land on the West Coast railway route. It appears that the Natives, thinking the land is required, demand a longer price than they otherwiHe would. The Ministry have promised to give every assistance possible towards making the demonstration on the arrival of the new Governor a complete succeßS.

A shocking rape case occurred last night. The victim was an orphan child eleven years of age. The perpetrator was severely handled by ft crowd who bound him hand and foot and brought him into the town by a goods train that happened to be there at the time.
