THE BURMESE QUESTION. The latest news from Burmah states that Mandalay is quiet. The King assures the British residents that he does not anticipate further disturbances. A Burmese envoy has been sent to the Indian Government. London, March 18. THE REVENUES OF GREAT BRITAIN, In the House of Commons to-day, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in reply to a question, said he saw no immediate prospect of increase of revenue for Great Britain. London, March 17. THE ZULU WARThe Secretary of State for War, in reply to a question, said he had forwarded the Queen’s message expressing confidence in Lord Chelmsford without consulting his colleagues. London, March 18. SIR A. GORDON. A very interesting paper was read before the Colonial Institute by Sir A. Gordon, of Fiji. The prominent speakers who took part in the discussion were Lord Graville, Sir M # H. Beach, Lords Cardwell and Selbourne. All commended Sir A. Gordon’s energy in Fiji. From a remark of Sir H. Beach, it is inferred that Sir A. Gordon will not return.
