POST OFFICE NOTICES
Mails close At the Chief Post Office for the tollowing plaoes as under, subjeot to the necessary alterations : THURSDAY, MARCH 20. For Wanganui, per St. Kilda, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. SATURDAY, MARCH 22. For Otago, per Ladybird, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 210 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, 2.-10 p.m. train. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Hawea, at 6.80 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, must not be used for this mail. MONDAY, MARCH 24. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Albion. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on March 28th, and will be due in London on May 13th. The next mails for the United Kingdom via Brindisi and Southampton will be closed at Christchurch on April 7th. The mail via Brindisi will bo due in London on June 2nd, and the mail via Southampton on June 9th, SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
