At the meeting of the New Zealand University Senate to-day, the Chancellor announced tho result of the examination of December, 1878, for junior scholarships, the B.A. degree, senior scholarships, third year scholarships, and honors as follows : graduates passing in honors : First-class, W S. 0. Hay, Canterbury College; J. .Montgomery, University of Ottigo; T. Wakelin, privato tuition. Under;raduates pa sing first section of ex amination —H. Connor, Canterbury College; J. Hendry, University of Otago; W. M' I ain, University of Otago; J. K Thornton, Canterbury v.ollege; H. W. Williams, Canterbury College. U ndcrgraduates entitled to senior scholarships ~D.
